Goals for the club and how they will be accomplished:
- To reduce the stress of high school students.
- Yoga lessons will be done including meditation and the physical practice of asanas.
- To learn about yoga and balance in daily life.
- During club meetings we will have discussions about yoga and everyone’s experience with stress and how to balance it.
- To include more physical exercise into the students’ lives.
- We will be doing asanas, as the physical practice of yoga will be the main focus of our club.
This club will be completely dedicated to practicing yoga, stress and balance. The student leaders will be teaching different types of yoga, along with meditation and discussions on balancing stress. The meetings will be from 3:00 - 4:00 after school on Sundays, in the gym. Students will not need to join every single class, if they do not wish to and students may come to the club without signing up.
