Here is some information about the club:
Goals:
- To increase club publicity so that students in DAA are aware of the club, and are therefore more willing to participate and join. This will be done through;
- Hosting 'awareness' focused events/activities, such as having a booth at the BTSBBQ in order to gain publicity for the club but not make money, or decorating the school with lights and informational posters on Diwali.

- To celebrate and raise awareness for South Asian Culture, specifically to raise awareness for the rich and diverse history of the various nations in South Asia that has contributed to the culture of those nations today. This will be done through;
- Hosting events such as Holi and Chinese New Year.
- Money will be raised for these events through bake sales and the like
- These will be whole school events and will explore the history of the celebrations, as well as their relevance today.
- Students will be able to participate in the festivities, thus giving them a deeper appreciation for the cultures of these nations.

- Having bimonthly meetings in order to prepare and plan for these events, but also to simply discuss or enjoy aspects of South Asian Culture by having activities such as but not limited to:
- Watching a bollywood or chinese movie.
- Discussing things that different cultures have in common

- Hosting events such as Holi and Chinese New Year.
South Asian Culture Club is focused on increasing the awareness of the different cultures of the many nations in South Asia. We'll be celebrating different aspects of South Asian Culture throughout the year, through events such as Holi, Diwali and Chinese New Year! Bimonthly meetings will be held to prepare for these events as well as discuss topics and participate in activities that are of interest to the group.

- Students do not have to be South Asian to join the club, they simply have to have an interest for South Asian Culture, and a willingness to learn more about it.
- Bimonthly meetings will be held, according to the dates that are most convenient for the majority of the club.
- Attendance is not mandatory at all club meetings, however will be required at meetings closer to event dates.
